History Department Teaching Objectives

  TO1 Able to raise students who have the ability to access information and organize and present information in historical research;

  TO2 In addition to being able to use the knowledge and experience of the discipline of history, they can also establish relationships with and benefit from fields such as literature, sociology, philosophy and law;

  TO3 Able to research and evaluate data such as the ethnic structure, socio-economic and political developments, and lifestyles of a certain region or the people who lived there;

  TO4 Have chronological, political, social, economic and cultural information about Turkish, European and World history;

  TO5 Able to follow political, social, economic, cultural and scientific developments and changes on a local, national or international scale and evaluate them by explaining them from a historical perspective;

  TO6 Able to acquire, interpret and compare information from different regions, societies, cultures and civilizations, as well as the region and society in which they live;

  TO7 Able to complete the project cycle on her/his own to research the historical background of any political, economic, social and cultural problem in order to understand it, and develop solutions by interpreting the findings;

  TO8 Able to comprehend and evaluate historical events as short, medium and long-term processes, and analyze by determining the causes and consequences of events;

  TO9 Able to use auxiliary languages correctly to help them read and understand historical data;

  TO10 Aware of the importance and protection of cultural heritage and raising public awareness on this issue;

  TO11 It aims to raise students who know how to use the knowledge they have acquired in the field of history and historical developments in fields such as education, media, culture, bureaucracy and diplomacy.
