The first event of the History Department Project Days series, where outcomes of undergraduate, graduate, and academic research projects are shared, was held on December 16, 2025.

The event was moderated by Prof. Dr. Yenal Ünal, with History Teacher Ayhan Akıntürk participating as the guest speaker.

In the presentation titled “An Analysis of Secondary School Students’ Views on the Gagauz Turks,” the study examined the knowledge levels, perceptions, and perspectives of secondary school students in Türkiye regarding the Gagauz Turks, an important part of the Turkic world. The audience was also introduced to the historical background and contemporary life of the Gagauz Turks. Based on field data, the study offered an analytical approach and provided valuable insights for students, particularly in the fields of history education and Turkic world studies.
